With guardianship Dick McGuire and center Harry 'the Horse' Gallatin, New York once again advanced to the NBA Finals in 1952 and 1953, though it lost both the series to Minneapolis Lakers.

The Logo

The original logo of Father Knickerbocker, dribbling a basketball has seen many revisions. Whilst using the classic “round ball” logo, under which the Knicks won both their NBA championships, a second one “ball in the box” logo was used for Knicks tickets and club merchandise. The current triangular logo with three-dimensional modernized lettering was unveiled in 1992. It was altered slightly to include the word 'New York' in it. Since then, the triangle logo remains the Knicks primary logo, though three other secondary logos have also been used in among - Golden Anniversary, “Knicks 2000” and “Subway token” logo.
